Leclerc shares doubts over Ferrari’s British GP prospects
Following a difficult weekend in Austria, Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc has expressed concerns regarding the team's performance at the upcoming British Grand Prix. Leclerc highlighted that Silverstone’s high-speed layout and numerous straights do not align with the strengths of the current Ferrari car, leading him to anticipate a challenging race weekend.
Leclerc, who has scored only four points over the last three races, noted that Ferrari’s recent struggles with tyre management and straight-line speed were exacerbated at the Red Bull Ring. He admitted that the team lacks an immediate solution for these issues and that the inherent characteristics of the Silverstone track will likely limit their competitiveness compared to rivals.
Despite the pessimistic outlook, the Monegasque driver emphasized his commitment to improving, stating that he is working hard to regain his form. While acknowledging that the next two rounds may not be favorable for Ferrari, he remains focused on maximizing the team's output while they work to address their inconsistent pace and overall technical challenges.
